Frank D. Lawson, CPA
Partner

 Frank Lawson, CPA has been with Leaf, Saltzman, Manganelli, Pfeil & Tendler, LLP for more than 25 years, advising closely held and foreign owned domestic businesses and their owners in a variety of tax and business consulting areas.

Having spent 11 years as an IRS agent, Frank is well versed in complex tax matters and is an invaluable asset to both the Firm and its clients. He represents clients during tax audits and assists with collection negotiations, when required. He also specializes in providing merger and acquisition consulting and business reorganization support, and assisting clients in developing compensation agreements and employee benefit plans. In addition, Frank is an expert on foreign and international taxation and operational matters.

Frank is the appointed Adjunct Professor of Taxation at William Paterson University, teaching senior level accounting and finance courses. He was also a frequent lecturer and instructor for the IRS, educating military personnel about their rights and obligations. Currently, Frank provides extensive in-house technical training to the professionals at Leaf, Saltzman, Manganelli, Pfeil & Tendler, LLP.

A Certified Public Accountant in both New Jersey and New York, Frank is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He also sits on a variety of New Jersey State Committees.
 
A graduate of Kean University, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Frank resides in Cranford, New Jersey with his wife, Donna and Black Lab, Max.
